NBA Rumors 2012 | Gilbert Arenas - LA Lakers Trade Rumor

One of the Latest NBA Trade Rumors involves Gilbert Arenas for Lakers. Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak is open-minded about attending the workout that Gilbert Arenas is planning to have in Los Angeles later this week.

Several Lakers officials attended a private workout for Gilbert Arenas in southern California on Sunday. The three-time All-Star was said to have performed well and moved rather briskly, thereby allaying some concerns about his troublesome knee and general conditioning at the age of 30.

The 30-year-old Arenas, a three-time All-Star, averaged 10.8 points a game last season in the 70 games he played for the Wizards and Magic.

Arenas represents a low-risk, high-reward option that may just be too good to pass up, particularly given the Lakers' needs and their fading hopes in the Western Conference.

Lakers are also interested in other players including Allen Iverson and Rajon Rondo.
